Reliable vehicle detection systems that trigger your gate automatically, keep traffic flowing, and meet safety compliance. From photo eyes to in-ground loops, we install and service every type of detection sensor.
Above-Ground Sensors
Above-ground sensors provide fast, non-invasive vehicle and obstacle detection for automatic gates. Photo eyes use infrared beams to detect obstructions in the gate path — a critical safety requirement for every automatic gate installation, and the first thing to check when a gate won't open.
Infrared motion sensors and radar/microwave detectors expand your detection zone beyond the gate opening, triggering the gate as vehicles approach and preventing closures while traffic is present. All sensors are rated for Winnipeg's extreme temperatures.
In-Ground Detection
Inductive loops are the most reliable method of vehicle detection — a wire loop is cut into the driveway surface and detects the metal mass of vehicles passing over it. Used worldwide at traffic signals, parking garages, and gated entries, loops provide consistent, weather-proof detection.
Driveway probes offer a simpler alternative — magnetic sensors installed in a small bored hole that detect vehicles by their magnetic signature. Ideal for residential driveways where cutting a full loop isn't practical.
Smart Integration
Vehicle detection is most powerful when it's part of a connected system. We integrate your sensors with gate operators, access control panels, surveillance cameras, and lighting — so your property responds intelligently to every vehicle that arrives or departs.
Approach detection triggers the gate before drivers stop. Safety sensors prevent gate closure on vehicles. Free-exit loops let vehicles leave without credentials. And all events are logged for security auditing and review.
